The images in this gallery all have buildings as their primary focal point. Most include interesting landscapes too. The types of buildings vary from medieval castles and cathedrals to modern skylines. You may notice that I am fond of barns... if you know of any picturesque barns, please let me know. I'm always on the lookout!

earthtonesimages > I was not really sure what the purpose of this little cottage was. If someone lived there it was very small. It was very picturesque in the Irish countryside though.
earthtonesimages > An innkeeper on the west coast of New Zealand told us of this formation and lighthouse on the other side of the island. Looking at the weather, we thought that day would be the only possible chance to get a sunset here so we drove quickly (obeying most speed limits, of course) and arrived just at sunset. We were glad we made it. The place is Nugget Point.
earthtonesimages > York Minster. I arrived first thing in the morning hoping to photograph this popular building before it was full of people. When the clergyman walked into my frame I was unhappy at first. I decided to take a couple images anyway and, of course, those became my favorites.

earthtonesimages > Salt shack on Cochetopa Pass road in Colorado
earthtonesimages > The red roof against the grey sky and the tall golden grass in front of it caught my eye as we came in from the mountain in the background. When I looked back and saw the scene I loved all the colors and the menacing sky.
